[MOD POST] Japan disaster, what are we doing about it?

 Friday 11th March 2011, Japan was hit by the worst earthquake in its history: 8.9 on Richter scale. A 10-meter high tsunami hit the east coast of Japan, resulting to hundreds of casualties and thousands went missing. A nuclear powerplant exploded. To those who are alert and aware (which we’re quite sure all of you do), this is not a new news anymore.

Japan is clearly suffering..... And what are we doing about it? We pray for the best. Dear all, that is actually the LEAST that you can do.

We are going to do more!

We are going to raise RM1500 (We Can Make It trueeee) to be donated to Japan disaster relief through Mercy team that is going to be deployed to Japan [ Date not confirmed yet ].

To promote this donation, we will be selling t-shirts, and 100% of the profits go straight to the fund. It’ll have Earthquake/Tsunami/Pray4Japan+Arashi theme and selling at only RM30.00. If you ever decided to give more than that, of course it would be even better. And if you want to just donate without buying the t-shirt, however little, by all means please do so. Japan needs all the help it can get! **But please bear in mind that the RM30 is NOT inclusive of postage. To those who requested the shirt to be sent via postage, you need to pay for the shipping cost.** **The t-shirts are no longer, i repeat, no longer limited to 50 pieces. The responds, cooperations & contributions are overwhelming! Orders as at today is reaching 200 pieces and counting! So keep those orders coming! 

We are aware that there are other donation drives going on Arashi communities, but we are doing this because we are also aware that most of you don’t have a Paypal account. So we are really hoping for your support. Do spread this to all of your friends, Arashian or not.

Hello. I have to ask my parents permission before I can make an order and transfer money, so I need to confirm these:

1. How will I get the shirt(s)?
2. How will I know the money will be sent to Japan?

I hope this doesn't sound offensive, but I need to reassure this to my parents :)

Most probably we'll organise an event where we hand over the t-shirt to those who ordered. Sometime in April..? During Gantz's premiere? ehehe *shining eyes*

We've sent our proposal letter to Mercy, and we're waiting for Mercy to get back to us. When they do, I'll post the letter here~ In the event that Mercy doesnt reply at appropriate timing, we'll collaborate with the donation drive at arashi_on, which will send the fund to Red Cross via Paypal~
You can wait till we receive the green light from Mercy if you want ^^
