Well I don't know whether you guys know about this or not, GANTZ photobook had been featured as Kinokuniya Anniversary titles and hence the book is 25% off from the normal price. So if you want a copy, made reservation first since the books always came in low quantity and most being reserved...
All i can say is the photobook was really worth it! and it's only RM60 (after discount) ^^v but it only last until END OF APRIL

PS: Don't mind the movie ticket on it ^^"

My thought on GANTZ: IT WAS DAMN AWESOME! XD

Bad news:
We didnt manage to join the arashi_on donation. I had a series of little mishaps with Paypal. Although I want to blame Paypal I have no one to blame but myself. Keep this post clean from bashing, if you want to get angry with me, do it [ here ].
Sincerest apology for that. The only good outcome of that is that we didnt waste RM150+ of our fund on Paypal charges.

What now:
After some deliberations on choosing between Mercy and Red Crescent Society (both have specific fund for Japan), I picked Red Crescent.
"But I've never seen Red Crescent's advertisement anywhere, unlike Mercy. Why don't we pick Mercy? Mercy is more popular". Precisely because of that.
As far as I know, Red Crescent never really use any of the money they receive on unnecessary things like advertisement. Accountability is what we're looking for. The fund will go straight to Red Cross Japan, so we can be assured that none of the fund will be used for Malaysian rescue team's transportation to Japan/preparations of their needs and whatnot. Mercy is silent about this, so we are forced to put our trust in them. I'm sorry, I don't trust people that much *__* A couple of you also expressed the same view via e-mails, so I know I'm not alone.

I'm going to bank-in the fund (RM4861Woot woot!!), hopefully on Monday/Tuesday.
Printscreen of the process will be posted here later ^^ Done!

Good news:
T-shirts are expected to be ready within this week! READY!! [ t-shirt confirmation post ]
But for the lack of manpower/someone truly dedicated to organise a screening, we dare not hold one. No good preparation, no screening. That's the way we see it. Instead we're going to hold just a simple meet-up to distribute the t-shirts. But of course we can always watch Gantz together that day, if you all want. Let's fill up half the cinema with noisy fangirls! muahaha. More on this meet up will be posted later (most likely not by me) :)

Hello~

Total donation so far: RM4,092 (subject to lag of interbank transfers)
To think that we only wanted to raise RM1500, that's quite awesome, you guys! [ masterpost ]

T-shirt order confirmation )
Now the question is: To join the donation that has been going on at [info]arashi_on  (ultimately goes to Direct Relief International specific fund for Japan quake), or to donate to Red Crescent Japan Relief Fund (ultimately goes to Japanese Red Cross Society fund for the quake)?

Note on Paypal's charges:
Transferring of fund from my bank account to Paypal: RM2.
Transferring from my Paypal to arashi_on's Paypal: 3.5% + $0.30 (2.5% for currency conversion, 1% for cross border transaction to US, $0.30 fixed fee for receiver from US)

Poll #1722791 Which fund
Open to: All, detailed results viewable to: All, participants: 69

Hi all,

Please do NOT panic when your order is not reflected here (I realise some of you have the tendency to panic *coughs* :P). We'll try to update the list as frequent as we can, but of course there'll be some delay between the time you order/pay and the time this post is updated~ ^^

If after about 1 day your order is still not reflected here, please post a new comment at the
[ masterpost ].

A lot of people have been asking how many orders we have received this far.
As at today we have successfully reached 238 pieces! ^^v
We have until midnight TONIGHT, wanna try to reach 250 pieces? LETS GO PEOPLE!! (^o^)9

Friday 11th March 2011, Japan was hit by the worst earthquake in its history: 8.9 on Richter scale. A 10-meter high tsunami hit the east coast of Japan, resulting to hundreds of casualties and thousands went missing. A nuclear powerplant exploded. To those who are alert and aware (which we’re quite sure all of you do), this is not a new news anymore.

Japan is clearly suffering..... And what are we doing about it? We pray for the best. Dear all, that is actually the LEAST that you can do.

We are going to do more!

T-Shirts order has been closed, Thank You ALL! )

Don't forget to follow us on twitter!

Hi All,

I have previously posted an entry regarding registration for Johnny's International at this link: http://community.livejournal.com/malaysia_arashi/63665.html

This time, its also a registration BUT! its for our Unoffcial Fanbase of Arashi in Malaysia.

if you look on the left side of this Community, theres a link: "Malaysia Fanbase of Arashi".

This fanbase; MyArashi has been up for quite some time now and is still collecting numbers.
It is a small project created by Arashi Forum to:

  • compile the details of every Arashi fan in Malaysia so that every Malaysian Arashi fans listed could be reached and be informed of any Arashi-related event being organised in locally.
  • act as a platform to unite all Arashi fans in Malaysia.
  • provide a directory to find other Arashi fans scattered all over Malaysia.
  • get the most accurate count of number of Arashi Fans in Malaysia.
  • highlight the existence of a strong Arashi fan base in Malaysia.

The steps to register are quite simple, you can get more details & how to register in that site itself.

Greetings people who love Arashi :)

Emina
of Multimedia University Cyberjaya has invited members of the Arashi fandom to help contribute for their J-Pop exhibition in conjunction with DaiCon Expo. A part of the J-Pop exhibition is reserved for the Johnny & Associate talents. Other fandoms who have confirmed their participation are NEWS, Kanjani 8 and KATTUN. Since Arashi is the current #1 group in Japan, it’s only natural that we participate to show support.

WE NEED VOLUNTEERS FOR THE EXHIBITION
Especially those who are studying or working in Cyberjaya, Putrajaya and around Kuala Lumpur.
Kindly share your time at DaiCon to help with the Arashi booth set-up during 11-12 July, from 11:00am - 06:00pm.

Please leave a comment with your contact details (Name, YM ID, email or phone number) or you can pm me through LJ. Also please write the day and the expected hours that you’ll be available as a volunteer.

Hopefully we’ll get a lot of volunteers to help set up the Arashi booth. For your information, I'm here just to initiate things by keeping you guys posted on developments of the expo and maybe suggest some ideas. More details of the exhibition booth set-up and planning is here (comments locked).
